Warehouse Manager
The stock-control, no-shortage kind
Location: Atlas, Port Moresby
Employment: Full-time, Local Hire
Important: If you do not have proven warehouse, stores, stock control, inventory, or purchasing experience, please do not submit your CV.
Atlas is part of the Kenmore Group of Companies and supports projects across building, steel, construction, hardware, and civil works.
We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take control of warehouse operations, stock management, inventory accuracy, and purchasing support.
This is not a role for someone who only knows how to move stock around. We need someone who understands stock systems, warehouse discipline, purchasing, stock security, cycle counts, stocktakes, supplier follow-ups, and how to keep operations supplied without delays.
If your experience is limited, this is not the one to test it on.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day warehouse operations, including receipting, storage, picking, issuing, dispatch, stock control, and project material movements.
That includes maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock movements, setting reorder levels, raising purchase requisitions and orders, following up suppliers, checking deliveries, and reporting shortages, damage, or non-conformances.
You’ll also manage cycle counts, stocktakes, stock variances, slow-moving stock, obsolete stock, damaged stock, warehouse security, housekeeping, and safe storage practices.
You’ll lead storemen and warehouse staff, manage forklift and equipment usage, and make sure stock is issued correctly to the right jobs, departments, projects, or accounts.
You’ll work closely with the Branch Manager, Steel House Manager, Financial Controller, project managers, fabrication teams, construction teams, sales staff, suppliers, freight providers, and clearance agents.
The expectation is simple: control the stock, protect the warehouse, support the projects, and keep the records accurate.
Who This Suits
This role suits an experienced Warehouse Manager, Stores Manager, Inventory Controller, or senior warehouse professional with real supervisory experience.
You understand stock systems, stocktakes, cycle counting, purchasing, supplier follow-up, warehouse layout, stock security, loss prevention, and safe handling of construction, hardware, and steel materials.
You should be confident using Excel for stock reporting, stock analysis, and management updates.
You know how to lead people, not just count stock. You can supervise warehouse staff, enforce procedures, control stock movements, and keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organised.
You are accurate, honest, reliable, practical, and serious about preventing stock losses, shortages, and write-offs.
If people already rely on you to bring order to a busy warehouse, this will feel familiar.
Why You’ll Like Working Here
Atlas is involved in real building, steel, construction, hardware, and civil works projects.
You’ll be part of a business where good warehouse control directly supports project delivery, cost control, and customer service.
This is a role where accuracy matters, stock discipline is noticed, and strong warehouse managers are taken seriously.
How to Apply
If you’re reading this and thinking, “I can control this properly,” then we want to hear from you.
