The MTIS Group is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Officer to join our team in Port Moresby.
About the Role:
As our Warehouse Officer, you will be the backbone of our inventory operations. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all goods within the MTIS Group warehouse. This includes meticulously picking stock, auditing received goods, organizing inventory, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory & Storeroom Control: Maintain accurate records of consumable stock and tooling (including tool bags, cabinets, and tool-walls). Monitor condition of tools daily and report on missing or damaged items.
- Goods Receipts: Audit incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes to verify quantity and check for damage.
- Order Fullments: Accurately pick, verify. And package stock items for sales orders and workshop requests.
- Storage Management: Transfer goods to correct storage locations to optimize space and ensure efficient retrieval.
- Auditing: Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits to verify physical stock against system records.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Operate material handling equipment (Forklift) safety and keep the warehouse clean and organized at all times.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or inventory control role.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Certificate in Warehouse/Logistics is an advantage).
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with ERP systems, stock control, and data entry.
- Licensing: A valid Forklift license with operating experience is highly desirable.
- Attributes: High level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the physical ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
Working Conditions:
- Based primarily on the warehouse floor in Port Moresby.
- Standard business hours with occasional overtime during peak periods.
