POSITION VACANCY: WATER CART DRIVERS

Reinhold Engineering and Group of Companies Limited is a nationally owned civil works and building construction company based in Port Moresby. We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Water Cart Drivers to support dust suppression, earthworks and pavement construction.

About the Role

You will operate water carts to deliver and distribute water safely, supporting site dust control and moisture conditioning requirements under the direction of site supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate water carts safely on haul roads, work areas and project access routes.

• Apply water evenly for dust suppression and material moisture conditioning.

• Coordinate watering activities with supervisors, grader operators, roller operators and site crews.

• Fill tanks at approved water sources and monitor water availability.

• Avoid overwatering, slippery surfaces, uncontrolled runoff and overspray onto workers or traffic.

• Complete pre-start inspections, including checks of tanks, pumps, hoses and spray systems.

• Maintain trip sheets, water usage and equipment records.

• Report defects, leaks, incidents and operational concerns promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid PNG driver’s licence appropriate to the assigned water cart.

• Demonstrated water cart or heavy vehicle driving experience.

• Relevant operator competency evidence for the assigned equipment.

• Understanding of vehicle stability, liquid load movement and safe operation on slopes.

• Experience in civil construction or roadworks is an advantage.
