WELDER - LAE BASE

International Food Corporation Ltd, the leading manufacturer of Besta Mackerel and Tuna products in PNG and the South Pacific, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Welder.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

The Welder will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to support the maintenance, repair, and construction of company equipment, machinery, and facilities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

JOB Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using various methods, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, according to specifications and safety standards.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures, equipment, and machinery.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Inspect finished products and repairs for quality and compliance with standards.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and materials in good condition.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate or Diploma in Welding, Metal Fabrication, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience as a Welder, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Physically fit and able to work in various conditions.
• Knowledge of workshop safety procedures and standards.
