Summer Institute of Linguistics Papua New Guinea (SIL-PNG) has a new exciting opportunity for those who want to challenge themselves and become part of a small dynamic team. We are looking for a highly motivated professional to fill the Wewak Regional Centre Manager position.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Wewak Regional Centre Manager (WRCM) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the centre and is responsible for its smooth operational running. It is a senior post and is in charge of all aspects of the centre, from managing our staff, finance, budgets and our translation teams with their accommodation, dealing with clients and liaising with our partners or stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Senior Regional Centre Manager.
The successful candidate must be well versed in a cross- cultural communication and must have a servant leadership role with the purpose of creating an environment, which supports the SIL Language teams and maintains good public relations in Wewak.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management or a related field
- 3-5 years’ working experience in similar role with demonstrated capacity to work effectively and productively with minimum supervision within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, and Google Applications.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization and good decision making skills
- Excellent organizational and time – management skills , with the ability to multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Must have a class six license
