Workshop Manager - Mechanical
Master Systems Technologies Ltd is a leading provider of mechanical services, specializing in trucks, trailers, LDVs,

maintaining high standards in both workshop operations and administrative processes. We are looking to recruit for the following full-time position based in Port Moresby, NCD.
Workshop Manager; Mechanical
Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Workshop Manager with strong leadership and administrative skills. The ideal candidate will excel at managing the workshop team, solving mechanical problems, and overseeing administrative functions to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively participate in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Lead and mentor workshop staff to ensure high productivity and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Oversee workshop scheduling, job allocations, and work quality.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and within deadlines.
- Manage administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate job records, invoicing, and reporting.
- Oversee inventory and stock management, including ordering and tracking parts.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Analyse maintenance data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Prepare and review budgets, cost analyses, and operational reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Workshop Manager or similar role with a minimum of 3 years within the transportation/automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical expertise with hands-on experience in trucks, trailers, LDVs, heavy-duty vehicles, sedans, tractors, and generators.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong administrative skills, including experience with scheduling, invoicing, and reporting.
- Proficiency in relevant software or tools, such as Excel, inventory management systems, or CRM software.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in automotive service management or fleet maintenance.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
