CPL Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Zonal Head – South Pacific (Medical & Lab Supplies) to lead the sales and technical support of our medical and laboratory equipment across Papua New Guinea and other South Pacific countries.

This leadership role requires a strong understanding of healthcare technology, a solid sales background, and the ability to manage projects, tenders, and service operations. You will work closely with biomedical teams, service engineers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations, equipment reliability, and exceptional customer support.

Responsibilities:

• Drive sales of medical and lab equipment to provincial health authorities, private hospitals, mining companies, and other clients
• Lead and support new laboratory setup projects alongside the Lab Manager and senior management
• Provide technical support and training to facility staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment
• Coordinate service and maintenance schedules with biomedical engineers and technicians
• Monitor and maintain optimum stock levels of spare parts and reagents
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Prepare and submit compliant tender documents within deadlines
• Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives
• Travel extensively across PNG and other South Pacific countries as required

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A degree in science, with an MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in selling medical and laboratory products
• Strong knowledge of medical equipment for diagnostics and radiology
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and technical servicing of medical equipment
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Ability to lead, train, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel frequently across multiple locations
